Artist Bio: Roy, Hoppy and Gene taught Joe about truth, justice and the American way. Now, 50 years later, Joe is thrilled to be living and painting in Arizona - among the icons of his youth. Joe's original oil painting, "The Staredown" was selected to be highlighted in the Booth Western Art Museum's exhibit "American Western Art South of the Sweet Tea Line lll". Joe's paintings have been featured in the Phippen Museum's exhibits :"Ranching & Rodeo:The Historical Connections" and “Buffalo Soldiers, Vaqueros and Friends”. Joe's paintings continue to be juried into invitational exhibits - "The Russell", ”American Art in Miniature” at the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa OK, “Night of Artists” for the Briscoe Western Art Museum, San Antonio, TX and Phippen Museum “Miniature Masterpieces”. Western Art Collector featured Joe and his buffalo soldiers & black cowboys in their article “Roots of the West”. SouthwestArt featured Joe and his cowgirl paintings in their article “Feminine & Tough”.
